What is Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a world-renowned natural healing method that has existed for over a hundred years. The word is derived from the Greek words ‘cheir’ and ‘prattein’, which mean hand and practice respectively. In other words, chiropractic means ‘to perform by hand’.
The spinal column and the nervous system are central to the chiropractor. He assumes that many health problems originate there. Via the nervous system, signals go from the brain to the entire body (including organs, joints and muscles) and back. Disturbances in this system can in principle cause problems in the entire body. The spinal column can influence the functioning of a nerve pathway.
Chiropractic treatment ensures that the nerve pathways can function as optimally as possible. Most complaints that the chiropractor treats concern lower back pain (lumbago, hernia, sciatica, osteoarthritis) and neck pain (headache, migraine, dizziness, whiplash, facial pain, osteoarthritis).
In addition, complaints in arms and legs (tingling, numbness, RSI, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica, foot complaints), upper back complaints, chest pain, pelvic instability, back complaints during or after pregnancy and complaints such as colic and kiss syndrome, often the problem with crying babies.
